Polishing of thin juice at sugar production
Polishing of thin juice
Non-sugar substances are precipitated from the raw sugar juice by adding lime milk and carbon dioxide.
These substances must be filtered out in a two-stage filtration process to protect, for example, downstream water softening systems from clogging and evaporation stations from scale buildup.
Backwash filters are particularly suitable for the second stage due to their space-saving design.
By using precision-woven stainless steel filter media with a pore size of 25 µm, the system delivers optimal filtrate quality and provides perfect protection for downstream equipment.
- 25 µm Filter fineness
- 100%reliable removal of contaminants
- 0%medium loss
